With Konami’s eFootball Pro Evolution Soccer 2020 now available, all PES fans are excited to see if their favourite players have earned an upgrade in this year’s edition. This article will run you through 10 of the best-rated right-wingers (RWF) in the game.
10. Lucas Moura
Age: 27
Country: Brazil
Club: Tottenham Hotspur
Rating: 84
Lucas Moura had a phenomenal season with Tottenham Hotspur last year. After a difficult season in 2017/2018 that saw him limited to just two starts after his January move to the north London club, the speedy Brazilian scored 10 league goals and another 5 in the UEFA Champion League to get his career back on track. His terrific season has earned him an upgrade as he moved from 82 in PES 2019 to 84 in PES 2020. As you would expect, his key stats include 89 speed, 93 acceleration, 86 dribbling and 82 finishing.
9. F. Bernardeschi
Age: 25
Country: Italy
Club: Juventus
Rating: 84
2018/2019 wasn’t so kind to Bernardeschi with just 14 league starts producing a paltry 2 goals and 3 assists. While Bernardeschi hasn’t always been a high scorer, he certainly had better seasons at Fiorentina than he’s currently having at Juventus. Productivity aside, Bernardeschi is a fantastic player with a sweet left foot that can unlock stubborn defenses. His performances last season were still enough to earn him an 84 rating on PES 2020 with his key attributes include 86 dribbling, 86 acceleration and 85 ball control.
8. R. Mahrez
Age: 28
Country: Algeria
Club: Manchester City
Rating: 85
Riyad Mahrez didn’t have a great season last year and his downgrade was inevitable. With just 14 starts in the Premier League, Mahrez scored 7 goals and provided 4 for his teammates. However, the Algerian had an incredible African Cup of Nations campaign where he led his country to glory. His exploits with his country are probably the only reason he was only downgraded to 85 from 86 overall. Gamers are going to love his 80 finishing, 89 dribbling and 89 ball control.
7. Douglas Costa
Age: 29
Country: Brazil
Club: Juventus
Rating: 85
Douglas Costa hasn’t always been known for producing great numbers, but last season was surely one he’d want to forget quickly. Starting just 7 games, Costa could only score a single goal with no assists. Frankly, his 85 rating on PES 2020 is borderline generous. Questionable ratings aside, Douglas Costa is still an incredible player with an impressive skill-set. His game stats include 92 dribbling, 87 ball control and 87 speed.
6. Willian
Age: 31
Country: Brazil
Club: Chelsea
Rating: 85
Willian is another winger who doesn’t deliver much end product, but does what he does incredibly well. He made 26 starts in the English Premier League last season and scored 3 goals, while providing 6 assists. He also enjoyed a fine campaign in the UEFA Europa Leagues scoring 3 and providing 7 as Chelsea went ahead and won the competition. As has been the case in the past two editions of PES, William is rated 85 in PES 2020 with his in-game ability featuring 89 dribbling, 86 speed and 85 placekicking.
5. Angel Di Maria
Age: 31
Country: Argentina
Club: PSG
Rating: 86
Angel Di Maria had a great season with PSG in 2018/2019 as the French giants lifted another French Ligue 1 trophy. Known for his sublime crosses and long-range shots, Di Maria chipped in with 12 goals and 11 assists in 28 league starts. His performances were enough to keep his 86 rating on PES 2020 along with impressive stats like 85 kicking power, 88 dribbling and 86 speed. With Di Maria now a veteran at age 31, it’s impressive to see his level of performance hasn’t dropped over the past few seasons.
4. Gareth Bale
Age: 30
Country: Wales
Club: Real Madrid
Rating: 87
It’s been a steady decline for Gareth Bale over the years with his rating dropping from 90 in PES 2018 to 88 in PES 2019 and now 87 in PES 2020. Injuries haven’t been kind to the Welsh man with his injury troubles limiting him to just 21 starts last season. He scored 8 league goals which is half of what he scored the previous season with almost the same number of starts. To be fair to Bale, Real Madrid had a poor season in 2018/2019, so it can be argued that he was affected by his club’s form as well. Despite the downgrade, Bale is still one of the best players in the game and his key stats include 88 attacking, 94 kicking power, 85 finishing and 94 speed.
3. Bernando Silva
Age: 27
Country: Portugal
Club: Manchester City
Rating: 88
Bernando Silva’s 7 goals and 7 assists in 31 matches last season may sound average, but his performances were world-class from the first day of the season to the final day. His contribution was invaluable as Manchester City claimed another English Premier League title. Silva also helped Portugal win the UEFA Nations League with some breathtaking performances that produced a goal and 2 assists. His 88 rating on PES 2020 is a nice upgrade on his 86 rating in PES 2019, signifying his increasing importance for club and country. Silva boasts excellent in-game stats such as 93 dribbling, 87 acceleration and 92 ball control.
2. Mohamed Salah
Age: 27
Country: Egypt
Club: Liverpool
Rating: 90
Mohamed Salah showed the world his 32 league goal feat in his first season at Liverpool was no fluke as he ended up joint top scorer in the league with 22 goals last season. The Egyptian is gradually getting the recognition he deserves with fellow players, managers, and fans now taking him seriously as a goal threat every game. The 90 rating he earned on PES 2019 is still intact on PES 2020 with eye-boggling stats like 86 finishing, 92 speed, 88 dribbling and 88 offensive awareness.
1. Lionel Messi
Age: 32
Country: Argentina
Club: Barcelona
Rating: 94
Lionel Messi needs no introduction. The Argentine attacker is regarded by many as the best player to ever play the game and rightly so. Last season Messi scored 36 league goals and assisted his teammates 13 times to finish the season as the golden boot winner in Europe’s top five leagues. Despite being 32, Messi is showing no sign of slowing down and all we can do is sit back and enjoy this incredible talent while we still can. His 94 overall rating on PES 2020 is rightly deserved and his stats include 97 ball control, 95 offensive awareness and 95 finishing. It simply doesn’t get any better than this!
