eFootball Pro Evolution Soccer 2020 is finally here as it ushers us into a brand new football season. To feed your excitement, we’ve compiled a list of 10 of the best left-wingers (LWF) in the game.
10. Lorenzo Insigne
Lorenzo Insigne might not have the fame his talent deserves, but the diminutive Italian has been a consistent performer for Napoli in recent years. Injuries limited him to just 24 starts last season with the skilful attacker scoring 10 goals and contributing 6 assists for his teammates. Unfortunately, Insigne’s efforts got him a downgrade to 86 overall rating on PES 2020, but his stats still include 86 dribbling, 90 ball control and 86 speed.
9. Leroy Sane
Club: Manchester City
Off the back of a disappointing summer where he was overlooked for the World Cup by Germany, Sane got back to doing what he does best, striking fear in the hearts of defenders with his mazy runs. Last season, the German winger contributed 10 goals and 10 assists in 31 games including 10 substitute appearances. His contributions helped Manchester City to another Premier League title, where they were pushed all the way by rivals Liverpool. In PES 2020, Sane is rated 86 overall with his key attributes including 85 kicking power, 87 dribbling, and an unbelievable 96 speed.
8. Son Heung-min
Country: Republic of Korea
Club: Tottenham Hotspur
Son Heung-min was in his element last season scoring 12 goals and assisting a further 6 times to help Tottenham finish in one of the coveted Champions League spots in the English Premier League. The Republic of Korea winger also scored 4 goals to guide Tottenham to their first-ever UEFA Champions League final. His exploits last season have earned him a boost in his overall rating, moving from 84 to 86. If you like pacey wingers who can finish off a chance, then you’re going to appreciate Son’s PES 2020 abilities which include 84 finishing, 87 speed and 88 dribbling.
7. Ousmane Dembélé
For a player who many believe isn’t playing to the best of his ability, Dembele’s expoits are quite impressive. The French winger put in some scintillating performances last season as Barcelona strolled to another league title. In 20 starts, Dembele scored 8 goals and assisted his teammates 5 times. Injuries and the pressures of being a a young footballer with the world at his feet haven’t helped Dembele’s cause, but he did enough last season to earn a major upgrade from 83 to an 86 rating overall. His game stats include 88 dribbling, 91 speed and 88 ball control.
6. P. Coutinho
Club: FC Bayern München
2018/2019 was not a great season for Coutinho. The skilful Brazilian could only score 5 goals and provide 2 assists for his teammates. These numbers are even more underwhelming when you consider that Coutinho scored 8 and assisted 5 in half a season after his January move from Liverpool in 2017/2018. His poor form has earned him a downgrade in PES 2020 with his overall rating dropping down to 87. He is still a quality footballer and gamers won’t be disappointed with stats which includes 93 ball control, 91 dribbling and 88 placekicking.
5. Sadio Mane
Sadio Mane’s game has grown in leaps and bounds over the past few seasons with the Senegalese international becoming a face most defenders would rather not see running at them. With a fine blend of power, pace, and technique, Mane is one of the best wingers in the world at the moment. Last season, he finished joint top scorer with 22 goals as Liverpool finished second place in the league. Mane’s PES 2020 stats include an 89 overall rating, 85 finishing, 94 speed and 89 dribbling.
4. Raheem Sterling
Club: Manchester City
Raheem Sterling has always been thought of as a quality player. Before now, his biggest criticism was his ineffectiveness in the decisive final third of the pitch. However, since Pep Guardiola took charge of Manchester City, Sterling has finally found his scoring boots. The English winger scored 17 and assisted 10 in the league last season. His performances have earned him an 89 overall rating in PES 2020 with his abilities featuring 88 dribbling, 82 finishing and 93 speed.
3. Eden Hazard
Club: Real Madrid
Once again, Eden Hazard showed the whole world his quality with a great season performance after an equally compelling performance at the 2018 World Cup. His strong form last season earned him a dream move to Real Madrid and it will be interesting to see how he performs for the Los Blancos this season. Hazard’s phenomenal season with Chelsea earned him a deserved upgrade with his overall rating moving to 91. His playing attributes include 85 finishing, 96 dribbling and 89 speed.
The question with Neymar has never been about his footballing ability, and on his day the Brazilian is only behind Ronaldo and Messi in terms of talent. Injuries have been his worst nightmare, as another frustrating season ended with the talented Brazilian playing just 16 games. Neymar still managed to chip in with 15 goals and 7 assist as PSG won another French league title last season. With the summer dominated by rumours of a move back to Barcelona, it is clear that Neymar is no longer happy in Paris, and he certainly won’t be happy to learn that he has been downgraded to 92 overall rating on PES 2020. However, Neymar is still one of the best players in the game and with 86 finishing, 96 dribbling and 89 speed and his stats proves this.
1. Cristiano Ronaldo
At 34 years of age, Ronaldo is still topping lists and goal scoring charts. Such is the ability of the Portuguese winger that his former team, Real Madrid struggled woefully to replace his goals and excellent play at the business end of the pitch last season. Now at Juventus, Ronaldo has wasted no time in making the ”Old Ladies” his team and was named the most valuable player in Italy last season. In PES 2020, Ronaldo retains his 94 overall rating and his key stats include 91 finishing, 94 kicking power and for his age he still has a respectable 88 for speed.
