Best Attacking Midfielders in PES 2020

Konami has recently released its 2019/2020 season instalment of its famed Pro Evolution Soccer franchise and gamers worldwide are going crazy with the new in-game features, player upgrades and downgrades. In our latest article we profile the 10 best attacking midfielders (AMF) in eFootball Pro Evolution Soccer 2020:

10. Bruno Fernandes

Age: 25

Country: Portugal

Club: Sporting CP

Rating: 85

A move to one of Europe’s top teams did not materialise for Fernandez this summer, but the Portuguese player has a lot to be proud of with some scintillating performances in the 2018/2019 league season. In 33 league starts, Fernandez scored 23 goals and assisted 13 to crown a truly phenomenal season. His performances earned him an upgrade to 85 overall rating on PES 2020 with in-game abilities like 89 kicking power, 86 ball control and 87 low pass.

9. Nabil Fekir

Age: 26

Country: France

Club: Real Betis

Rating: 85

Nabil Fekir scored 9 and assisted 7 goals for Lyon in the 2018/2019 league season in France. While those numbers would represent a successful season for some players, they’re worthy of a downgrade on PES 2020 by Fekir’s standards. The French star recently completed a summer move to Real Betis with many believing he could have done better. That said, Fekir’s talents are unquestionable and his in-game abilities prove this. His stats include 87 kicking power, 89 dribbling and 86 ball control.

8. Hakim Ziyech

Age: 26

Country: Morocco

Club: Ajax

Rating: 85

Hakim Ziyech had another phenomenal season with Ajax last year as the Dutch giants strolled to another league title and a brilliant run to the UEFA Champions League semi-finals. His ability to play on the wings and as an attacking midfielder makes him a valuable asset for his team. He got an upgrade from 84 to 85 on PES 2020 with impressive abilities like 92 lofted pass, 89 curl and 87 place kicking.

7. Mesut Ozil

Age: 31

Country: Germany

Club: Arsenal

Rating: 85

Mesut Ozil endured a frustrating season last year as he was relegated to the bench in many games under new Arsenal boss Unai Emery. On his day though, few can pass the ball as well as Mesut Ozil. However, his biggest criticism has been his body language and his inability to dominate games and after the season he’d had, a downgrade on PES 2020 was inevitable. His in-game stats include 92 ball control, 90 balance and 90 low pass.

6. Isco

Age: 27

Country: Spain

Club: Real Madrid

Rating: 86

At age 27, there are still a few people who are waiting for Isco to become the player we all expected him to be after his breakout season with Atletico Madrid. While he has shown what he can do in games, consistency is the one thing the Spanish midfielder lacks. On his day, Isco is almost unplayable and his abilities are reflected in his 86 overall rating on PES 2020. His key in-game attributes include 95 dribbling, 92 ball control and 85 low pass.

5. J. Rodríguez

Age: 28

Country: Columbia

Club: Real Madrid

Rating: 86

5 years after James announced himself to the world with his FIFA Puskas winning goal at the World Cup in Brazil, he’s still struggling to establish himself in a big European club. His time at Bayern wasn’t particularly impressive and Real Madrid only made the decision to keep him after losing Marco Asensio to a long-term injury. When he’s not injured or struggling for consistency, James is an excellent midfielder with great technical ability. His most impressive in-game stats are 87 kicking power, 85 finishing, 88 ball control and 89 lofted pass.

4. Marco Reus

Age: 30

Country: Germany

Club: Borussia Dortmund

Rating: 87

It’s baffling as to why Marco Reus was downgraded to 87 on PES 2020. After being plagued by injury for years, Reus was finally able to stay fit for a large part of the season and showed his ability by scoring 17 goals and assisting his teammates 8 times in 27 league appearances. Reus is versatile soccer player who can also play as a striker or a winger and his key attributes include 88 kicking power, 89 dribbling, 86 place kicking and 87 speed.

3. Christian Eriksen

Age: 27

Country: Denmark

Club: Tottenham

Rating: 88

Eriksen showed his true world class status last year as his impressive performances from midfield and on the wings helped guide Tottenham to a 4th place finish in the Premier League and a Champions League final appearance. The Danish midfielder scored 8 goals and assisted 12 times in 35 league appearances. His upgrade from 87 to 88 is well deserved and PES fans will absolutely love his game attributes which include 91 ball control, 90 low pass and 87 place kicking.

2. David Silva

Age: 33

Country: Spain

Club: Manchester City

Rating: 88

At age 33, David Silva is still one of Manchester City’s most influential players with his silky skills and deft touch helping him to glide past players and create chances for teammates. Last season, he contributed 6 goals and 8 assists as Manchester City claimed a hard-fought Premier League title. His overall rating is 88 with eye-popping abilities like 94 ball control, 94 balance and 95 low pass.

1. Kevin De Bruyne

Age: 28

Country: Belgium

Club: Manchester City

Rating: 90

A crushing injury kept De Bruyne out of action for the most part of last season with the Belgian midfielder only starting 11 games and contributing just 2 goals and 2 assists in his team’s run to the EPL title. However, his abilities remain unquestioned and that argument is strengthened by Pro Evolution Soccer’s decision to not downgrade him despite the disappointment of last season. He retains his 90 rating with impressive in-game attributes like 92 lofted pass, 91 ball control, 87 kicking power and 90 tight possession.

Conclusion

The best thing about every player on this list is their ability to deliver that all-important final ball to teammates. Many of them are just as good at finishing a chance as they are at creating them. So, if you’re a gamer looking to add some genuine quality to your PES team, you can’t afford to overlook these players. Happy gaming!
